EPT Monte Carlo: Albert Daher Dominates the Largest €100K High Roller in EPT History

This event made a lasting mark in the history of the European Poker Tour as the largest €100,000 buy-in tournament in the series' history. A total of 76 entries generated a massive prizepool of €7,296,000.

Besides the astronomical winnings, the tournament also had a charitable aspect. Over €228,000 was raised for the One Drop Foundation, which ensures access to clean water worldwide.

Battle of Titans at the Final Table

The final day promised unprecedented drama with two of the most successful players from the All-Time Money List — Bryn Kenney and Stephen Chidwick — joining at the final table. The Polish phenomenon Wiktor 'Limitless' Malinowski entered the finale as the chipleader, but his journey ended unexpectedly in 6th place.

In contrast, Bryn Kenney started the final day as the shortstack but survived several eliminations to secure 4th place with a prize of €728,500, being eliminated by Chidwick.

Daher's Relentless Run to the Title

The absolute frontrunner of the final was Lebanese professional Albert Daher. He took the lead after eliminating Teun Mulder and Enrico Camosci. Daher admitted post-tournament that he was in rare form: “I've never been this lucky in my life, I hit almost every flop,” he said in an interview.

In the final heads-up, Daher faced Stephen Chidwick with a comfortable 3:1 chip lead. Chidwick, who achieved his 17th seven-figure career result, couldn't find a way to counter his opponent's momentum.

In the decisive hand, Chidwick moved all-in with K s 8 s against Daher’s 4 c 4 s. Daher completed a set on the flop of 9 s 4 d Q d and the turn 3 h sealed the victory. 

This triumph propelled Daher's career earnings into eight figures, placing him at the top of Lebanon's all-time money list.
